Robot Club – Build a working Robot – IBIS Hotel, 11.45am to 2.00pm

Free workshops to take you through the process of building increasingly functional robots with motors and sensors. You will be able to display your work to parents and schools at the Tech Roadshow in June and perhaps later to compete in regional and national competitions.You will need to bring a fully charged laptop computer or tablet to work on.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent. Those over 12 must bring a signed parental consent form, alternatively parents can complete a form on arrival. Email david@communityregen.net (or call 07946 304332) for more information, to confirm attendance or to get a consent form in advance.

Hands-on project instructions from Dr. Sujit Bhattacharya (PhD, ME, BE, SMIEEE, FIETE, MIET).

Experience working with physical tools to measure light,sound, temperature, magnetism, gravity, etc.

Instruction on interfacing these sensors with popular microcontrollers like BBC Micro: bit, Raspberry Pi Pico.

The opportunity to build and demonstrate your own projects based on the learning.
